Industrial sieves or sieving machines for industrial use are mechanical devices used to separate materials according to their size. To carry out this screening process, a mesh, cloth or perforated plate is usually used.
Industrial screens are mainly used for:
- Pass the fine material through the openings.
- Keep the thick material on the surface of the screen.
- Prevent the openings from being clogged by larger particles or pieces.
Vibrating screens
These machines, in addition to screening or sifting, classify the material obtained according to ts size.
Vibrating screens has one or more screening meshes to obtain the different grain sizes.
Depending on the size, the aggregates, sands or minerals that are placed in the sieve go through the sieves, meshes or fabrics, leaving those with the upper granule at the top. Each deck has its own material outlet.

Flip-flop vibrating screens
Flip-flop type elastic mesh screens be used to classify difficult-to-screen products such as wet, flaky, sticky or too light materials. These materials in a conventional screen would end up clogging the meshes or fabrics making it impossible to obtain an efficient screening.

They are used to screen minerals, salts, the coal or steel industry … etc.
The flip-flop screens are made of high-strength elastic polyurethane and can cut from 2mm to 100mm. Their holes can be round, square and oblong.
They can also be made with special materials to treat abrasive, high temperature and acid materials.

Multi-deck screens
Screens or multi-deck sieving machines are used to perform multiple mineral, sand and aggregate separations and obtain different ranges of the same material.
As it is a modular unit, it is possible to install the number of floors that are needed to carry out the different screens and thus obtain different fractions with a single sieving machine, without changing the meshes.

Use and applications of the screens
Sieve shakers or vibrating screens are used in any process in which it is necessary to classify particles according to their size. A clear example would be aggregates, sands, minerals, waste plants.
